"The Earthsea Trilogy" by Ursula Le Guin
When I started to read this book I suddenly a sense that I was gonna read from start to finish. I could'nt put it down. The book is about a boy named Ged who discovers at a very early age that he has magical powers. He goes to his town witch to learn to use and control his magic. But when she has taught him all she knew, he hungers for more, so he heads to roke where he learns more about magic and the names of places and things and all the magic. He loved showing off, so one day, when his friends asked him to do a spell for them he did, but it released a terrible shadow upo the world which nearly killed him. That shadow followed him around till he was an adult until he overcame it. |
